Values

Friendship

Being a Delta Chi at Western Michigan University can be one of the most beneficial building blocks of friendship in a man’s life. A fraternity is the only Registered Student Organization (RSO) on campus that can provide what most consider a close knit family. We provide a “home away from home”. Delta Chi is a group of guys that have the morals and integrity to help each other strive through any situation that may arise.

Develop Character

With our fund raising opportunities, to our philanthropy events, (in which all proceeds go toward the Jimmy V Foundation for cancer research), we have many ways in which we as Delta Chi’s build a man’s character. Wearing the letters of Delta Chi is an honor, and we are proud to say that we have developed a character that truly represents this honor. Between Western Michigan Alumni gatherings and regional Delta Chi conferences, there are many ways in which our character intermixes with networking and resume building that provides for strong career building.

Advance Justice

Delta Chi was established as a law fraternity, and, in 1929, was the first fraternity to publicly abolish “hell week.” Our fraternity colors, red and buff, have significance to the colors of law books of the old days.  We have built a strong moral base that has been passed on to everyone associated with Delta Chi, and having good morals provides for a perfect legal record. We are very strict when it comes to law breaking, and believe the advancement of our character is rooted in the high expectations we instill in every Delta Chi from the start.

Assist in the Aquisition of a Sound Education

Students come to Western Michigan University for the quality education that it provides. The most important value of Delta Chi is to advance the educational experience, and allow every opportunity that WMU provides to be easily attainable. As a chapter, we have many group study times, and we have almost every major that WMU offers. We are proud of the fact that we have one of the highest GPA’s on campus even with experience such as engineering, business, and biology.
